The Cradle of Humankind, roughly 47,000 hectares in size, is a famous destination around the globe and considered the birthplace of humanity. Innovative sediment dating has revealed that the hominin fossils here are much older than previously believed, with South African Australopithecus africanus fossils representing some of the earliest instances of this genus on Earth. Join us for a day filled with cultural and archaeological exploration.

Step back in time at the renowned Cradle of Humankind. Embark on a journey to humanity's birthplace and explore a world-class exhibition that chronicles human evolution. Innovative sediment dating has revealed that the hominin fossils here are much older than previously believed.
Cultural Village  All ages  2-3 hrs
Visitors embark on a captivating journey through the origins of South Africa's indigenous people, exploring diverse tribal homesteads within the Village. The tour culminates in the Boma with the vibrant "Ingoma" dance extravaganza, where ancestral folklore is brought to life through choreographed movements, drumming, and songs. Guests can choose to indulge in a variety of buffet-style dishes, from Kalahari lamb to Mozambican fish, celebrating Africa's rich culinary and cultural diversity.

Sterkfontein Caves Â

Wondercave 1.5 Hrs
Discovered by Italian miners in 1898, this is South Africa's third-largest chamber cave, mined for its calcite. Located in the Cradle of Humankind, the cave descends 40 meters and is estimated to be 5–10 million years old. Highlights include towering formations, cave pearls, ancient fossils, and remnants of old mining activities.
