We are delighted to welcome Nielen Swart to the FIGARIE team as our Financial & Operations Controller.

At just 20, Nielen is the youngest member of our team and is embarking on an exciting journey to build his career within the hospitality industry. At FIGARIE, we believe in nurturing young talent, giving people the opportunity to learn, grow and develop into the hospitality professionals of tomorrow.

Nielen plays an important role across our financial and operational functions, helping ensure that everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly, while also working closely with our sales and marketing team to support the exceptional service we strive to deliver to every client.

A natural team player, Nielen has a genuine interest in hospitality and the world of exceptional travel. Outside of FIGARIE, his passions include Formula 1, Ferrari, the NFL and soccer — with Ferrari firmly holding the top spot on his Formula 1 favourites list.

When we asked Nielen what he enjoys most about being part of FIGARIE, his answer was simple: “Everything.” But if he had to choose, our yacht experiences are his favourite, describing them as being at the highest level of what we offer.

When it comes to destinations, Nielen would choose safari over the beach, although he admits that spending time overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from one of our Cape Town villas would certainly be difficult to turn down.

We are excited to watch Nielen grow, learn and find his place within the world of hospitality. His journey is only beginning, and we are proud to be part of it.
